秦都即秦国都城咸阳,其位于八百里秦川的腹地,渭水穿南,宗山亘北,山水俱阳,故称咸阳。咸阳是我国的著名古都之一,其是历史悠久的文化名城。秦朝皇帝秦孝公于公元前三百五十年迁都咸阳,秦始皇嬴政在此建立了第一个中央集权的多民族国家,成为当时我国的政治、经济和文化中心,创造出了悠久灿烂的历史文化。随着社会的进一步发展,城市化的进程进一步加快,很多城市都具备着高度的相似性,造成千城一面的局面。如何在咸阳地区,挖掘并发展灿烂的秦都文化内涵,已经成为当今咸阳城发展的主要方向,建设有秦都文化特色的咸阳城,已经成为咸阳城市规划建设当中亟待解决的问题。
