S Zorb adsorption method gasoline and diesel desulfurization technology developed by Phillips Petroleum Company was awarded the Technology Innovation Award by the 17th World Petroleum Congress. The adsorptive gasoline desulfurization process selectively removes sulfides, rather than converting sulfides, to convert high-sulfur FCC gasoline to low-sulfur gasoline.
