Artist: Jem Geely (Venezuela) Location: Jose Felix Ribes Boulevard, Caracas, Venezuela Media: Stainless steel sheet on metal frame, standard enamel Time: 2009-2010 Client: Sucre Mayor Recommended by: Peter Morales This is a public art project carried out in slums on steep hillsides. Over the years, local residents have been using the flat roofs of the lower buildings as a platform to build new houses upward. Due to steep terrain, the most prominent wall is difficult to paint. As time passes, the outer walls of this area create a disorganized appearance. To change that, the artist was commissioned by the mayor of the mayor in charge of the city park project to call in local residents to find a solution to the wall design of the neighborhood.
