At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, many government agencies, non-governmental organizations, businessmen or individuals in cities and towns in Hubei Province had issued large amounts of money and went through vicissitudes of history such as chaos and the change of political power. In addition, local governments repeatedly collected and destroyed so many survivors rare. Compared with neighboring provinces, such as Hunan, Jiangxi and Henan provinces, the number of local currency notes, Hubei Province is less.
