何光沪,男,1950年出生于贵州省贵阳市。1979年考入中国社会科学院研究生院宗教系基督教专业,1982年获哲学学位硕士。1985年考入中国社会科学院研究生院宗教系宗教学专业,1989年获哲学博士学位。此后在中国社会科学院宗教所工作,曾任宗教学原理研究室主任、中国社会科学院学术委员会委员。2001年至今任中国人民大学哲学院教授、博士生导师、校务委员会委员、教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地佛教与宗教学理论研究所研究员。曾在美国哈佛大学、英国伯明翰大学、加拿大多伦多大学、丹麦奥胡斯大学、香港浸会大学、香港中文大学、台湾辅仁大学担任客座教授或访问研究员,并曾数十次出国学术访问或参加学术会议。有多篇文章被译为
He Guanghu, male, born in 1950 in Guiyang, Guizhou Province. In 1979 admitted to the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Department of Christianity professional, master’s degree in philosophy in 1982. In 1985 admitted to the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences religious studies, 1989 PhD. Since then, he has been a director of the Religious Studies Research Institute and a member of Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Since 2001, he has served as Professor of Philosophy College of Renmin University of China, doctoral supervisor, member of the School Board, and researcher of the Institute of Buddhism and Religious Studies, a key research base of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education. He has been a visiting professor or visiting researcher at Harvard University, University of Birmingham, University of Toronto, Denmark, Aarhus University, Hong Kong Baptist University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Fu Jen Catholic University of Taiwan and dozens of overseas academic visits or participation academic conference.
