Ed Powles, minister for children's, schools and families in the UK, recently announced plans for the next phase of the reform of the Weak Schools. The government intends to take more effective measures to improve the teaching quality of primary and secondary schools and urban academies. An urban institution is an independent school funded by the government and run by a private institution or a voluntary organization. It is mostly designed to make up for the shortage of urban schools, many of which were formerly schools that performed poorly in poor areas.
