“沟里人”是刘文西教授的新作,画面展现的是一组由陕北三代人组成的秋收、秋运特写,是一组头裹羊肚子毛巾,身着粗布大褂、身负殷实谷垛的“老实巴交的土疙瘩”。画面近景是一位饱经风霜、满脸皱纹、身负硕果、目视金秋、深沉欢慰的老大爷,中景是一位双眉浓重、胡髭倔强、双手如锤、忍耐自信的中年汉子,后景是一位眉眼俊秀、腰板壮实、负重远眺、深思遐想的年青后生。他们生长于黄土、耕作于黄土,饱尝黄土的酸甜苦辣,也饱享金秋的欢快幸福。他们浑身上下沾满了黄土,可谓“老实巴交的土疙瘩”,但是他们的思想灵魂并不“土”,他们是勤劳勇敢的中华民族
