In order to adjust the relationship between doctors and patients so that patients can fully exercise their right to choose medical services, the Ministry of Health and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine formulated and issued in July 2000 the Opinions on Implementing Patients’ Choice of Doctors to Promote Internal Reform of Medical Institutions. In order to promote the fair and orderly competition among the internal links and positions of medical institutions through the measure of “patient selection of doctors”, the service attitude is improved.
