在玻璃表面镀银一般都要在较高的温度下进行,而且耗银量较高。以一般热水瓶厂在玻璃瓶胆上镀银为例,通常控制温度均高达90℃以上,每万只5磅瓶耗银量为3~4公斤。为了克服以上缺点,我们经多次实验,摸索出了可在常温下低银耗镀银的一种新方法。以五磅保温瓶胆为例,先用碱、自来水、蒸馏水洗,再用万分之一的氯化亚锡溶液处理待镀瓶胆内壁。倒掉处理过的氯化亚锡溶液(此溶液可反复使用),即可加入化学镀液并缓慢转动瓶胆,一般4~5分钟左右即可镀好一个瓶胆。具体镀液配方为:2% HgNO_3 13ml,6N NaOH 2ml,28%NH_3·H_2O 3ml,3% C_6H_(12)O_6 10ml(加水到40ml),10ppm NH_2-NH_2 0.5ml,
