To study the effect of NOS inhibitor on brain water content and lactate content during cerebral ischemia in rats. The water content and lactate content in brain tissue were detected by the method of wet and dry mass and enzymatic method. The results showed that brain water content and lactate content were significantly higher than those in sham operation group (P <0.01) at 10 min after cerebral ischemia.
