党的十一届三中全会以后，探矿工程工作认真贯彻了“调整、改革、整顿、提高”的八字方针。进一步明确了探矿工程的发展直接关系到地质找矿工作和国家“四化”的进程。同时体会到探矿工程发展，关键要靠技术进步、科学管理。党的“十二大”实事求是地确定了我国经济建设战略目标，从而进一步给我们指明了方向。“六五”期间探矿工程立足于“打基础”、“上水平”，巩固已取得的技术进步，有计划地进行科研攻关，大力推广新技术，设备更新和企业技术改造。广大探矿职工正是遵循这些方针政策，努力拼搏，锐意改革，取得了巨大成绩。
After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party, the prospecting engineering work conscientiously implemented the eight-character principle of “adjustment, reform, rectification and improvement”. To further clarify the development of prospecting engineering is directly related to the geological prospecting work and national “four modernizations” process. At the same time realize the development of prospecting engineering, the key depends on technological progress, scientific management. The “Twelfth National Congress of the Party” has determined the objective of our country’s economic construction in a pragmatic manner, which has further pointed out the direction for us. During the “Sixth Five-Year Plan”, the prospecting projects are based on “laying the foundations” and “getting on the top”, consolidating the technological progress made, carrying out scientific research in a planned manner, and vigorously promoting new technologies, equipment renewal and technological transformation of enterprises. The majority of prospecting workers just follow these guidelines and policies, worked hard and determined to reform, and achieved great success.
