在知识经济时代，企业要实施知识管理。虽然三峡工程具有知识经济时代的特征，设计、科研采用了很多先进技术，其建设也采用了许多先进的设备和工艺，但总公司的管理仍处在粗放型阶段。总公司要充分利用三峡工程管理信息系统和其它现代科技进行建设管理；要抓住机遇，尽可能将财力投入到支柱产业，注入高新技术，推动总公司的可持续发展。
In the era of knowledge economy, enterprises should implement knowledge management. Although the Three Gorges Project has the characteristics of an era of knowledge-based economy, many advanced technologies have been adopted in design and research, and many advanced equipments and processes have been adopted in the construction of the Three Gorges Project. However, the management of the head office is still in a rough stage. The head office should make full use of the Three Gorges Project Management Information System and other modern science and technology to carry out construction management. It is necessary to seize the opportunity to invest as much money as possible into the pillar industries, inject new and advanced technologies and promote the sustainable development of the head office.
