陈独秀1932年10月18日在上海被捕,即关在南京监狱。1937年继“七七”事变以后,日军又在上海进攻吴淞、江湾和闸北。我国全面抗战由此开始。8月15日日机开始空袭南京,第二天日机又一连四次轰炸南京。居正呈请国民政府为陈独秀减刑同年8月20日国民政府司法院长居正向司法行政部调阅陈独秀“危害民国案三审判词”。当即向国民政府呈请将陈独秀减刑。呈文云:查陈独秀前因危害民国案件,经最高法院于民国二十三年六月三十日终审判决、处有期徒刑八年,在江苏第一
Chen Duxiu was arrested in Shanghai on October 18, 1932, and was locked up in a Nanjing prison. In 1937, following the “July 17” Incident, the Japanese army again attacked Wusong, Jiangwan and Zhabei in Shanghai. This started our comprehensive war of resistance.
