程朱理学亦称程朱道学,是宋明理学的主要派别之一,也是理学各派中对后世影响最大的学派之一。其由北宋二程(程颢、程颐)兄弟开始创立,其间经过弟子杨时,再传罗从彦,三传李侗的传承,到南宋朱熹完成。从广义上说,它也包括由朱熹所摄入的北宋“五子”(周敦颐、邵雍、张载和二程)的学说,并延伸到朱熹的弟子、后学及整个程朱的信奉者的思想。程朱理学在南宋后期开始为封建统治阶级所接受和推崇,经元到明清正式成为封建国家的统治思想,在中国封建社会后期占有统治地位逾七百年。由于程朱理学在中国传统思想文化历史上的重要地位,所以研究程朱理学对于进一步发掘中国传统优秀文化遗产,剔除糟粕、汲取精华,为建设社会主义新文化服务具有重要意义。鉴于此,本刊组发了河南大学博士生导师李振宏教授、哲学博士徐仪明教授、南开大学哲学博士杨仁忠副教授等专家学者的文章,就程朱理学的一些问题展开讨论,以飨读者。
Cheng Zhu Neo-Confucianism, also known as Cheng Taoism, is one of the major schools of Neo-Confucianism and one of the schools of Neo-Confucianism that has the greatest influence on future generations. It was started by brothers from Chengdong and Chengyi in the Northern Song Dynasty. During this period, after passing by disciple Yang, he was rebuked by Luo Yan and handed down from the inheritance of Li Dong to the completion of Zhu Xi in the Southern Song Dynasty. Broadly speaking, it also includes the doctrine of the “Five Sons” of the Northern Song Dynasty (Zhou Dunyi, Shao Yong, Zhang Zaihe and Cheng Dao) absorbed by Zhu Xi and extends to Zhu Xi’s disciples, later scholars and Cheng Zhu’s worshipers thought. Cheng Zhu Neo-Confucianism began to be accepted and respected by the feudal ruling class in the late Southern Song Dynasty, and officially became the ruling ideology of the feudal nation through the Yuan Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It dominated the late feudal society in China for over seven centuries. Because of the importance of Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism in the history of traditional Chinese ideology and culture, studying Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism is of great significance for further excavating China’s traditional fine cultural heritage, eliminating dross, absorbing the essence and building a new socialist culture. In view of this, we published a series of articles by experts such as Professor Li Zhenhong, PhD supervisor of Henan University, Professor Xu Yiming, PhD, associate professor of philosophy, Nankai University, and some other issues about Cheng Zhu Neo-Confucianism.
