在科尔巴依—野马井地球化学研究的方法中,对一些成矿元素进行了分析与评价。根据元素的浓集系数(K1)的大小可以将调查区各元素的富集变化序列排序为:Au、Ni、Cr、As、Sb、Mo、Co、Bi、W、Ag、Cu、Pb、Zn、Sn。科尔巴依—野马井地区的地质背景和蚀变矿化特征与西准噶尔区域特征很相似;元素的浓集系数(K1)值中,Au、As、Sb等元素组合与已知调查区金矿化蚀变基本一致,Ni、Cr等元素则反映了本区分布的超基性岩成矿的特征。根据科尔巴依—野马井地区1∶5万化探异常下限圈定单元素异常2073个。经综合研究,共圈定各类综合异常69处。其中,以Au、As为主的综合异常26处,以Cu、Zn为主的综合异常26处,以Mo为主的综合异常3处。
