随着高尔夫球运动越来越受到人们的欢迎,球手们正寻求用新技术提高技艺以增加打高尔夫球的乐趣。为适应这一形势,目前,计算机及其相关技术正开始广泛用于高尔夫球运动中,利用计算机模拟高尔夫球的飞行与击球数据、软件设计器材和球场、电脑辅助训练。此外,在与高尔夫球运动有关的信息统计工作,计算机也在发挥着越来,越大的作用。随着计算机科学技术越来越多地进入高尔夫球场,美国这一新潮体育运动将在以下几个方面发生巨大变化:(一)今后几十年里,制造商将用计算机辅助设计软件来设计高尔夫球棒。改进的模拟软件将被用于设计和测试高尔夫球和球棒,球鞋及其它器材。目前,美国厂商正纷纷抢占市场,奈克公司以模拟软件设计推出的新型高尔夫球鞋、薄PV底、楔形跟,厚鞋垫,大受40岁以下运动爱好
