各地生产实踐和試驗研究証明,合理的灌溉和排水足棉花获得稳定高产的主要措施之一,据淮北棉花試驗站1959年的对比試驗,灌溉的亩产籽棉四百七十九点三至六百四十一点七斤,比不灌溉的亩产四百零六点九斤,增产17.8—57.8%;巢县黄麓公社1959年在棉花大田生产中,实行合理灌溉的亩产皮棉二百一十斤,比未进行合理灌溉的亩产皮棉一百六十四斤,增产28%。但是,由于不同地区的自然条件不同,所以各有其灌排特点。笔者在淮北的肖县、碭山及江淮地区的巢县进行了調查,也搜集了一些資料,愿意在这里談談棉花灌溉与排水中的几个問題。
