万州地处长江中上游接合部,位于三峡库区腹心,是三峡工程中安置移民数量最多的地区。能否在移民社区开办老年教育,是具有地域特色的一个课题。万州老年大学二分校用6年的办学实践证明:老年大学在完成好校内教育、教学任务的前提下,向移民社区开办教学点(班),对社区老年人实施教育,是有必要且有可能的,它对丰富老年人精神文化生活,促进移民社区的和谐稳定,起到了重要的作用。
