中国(深圳)国际玩具及礼品展览会创办于1993年的,现已成功举办了15届,是中国规模最大、效果最好的礼品展览会,美中不足的是,本应为主展产品的玩具,一直被迅速发展的礼品、家庭用品等所淹没。作为中国最大玩具出口基地的深圳,却一直没有玩具专业展。直到2008年1月,《玩具世界》杂志社联合深圳、广州、东莞三地玩具协会,在深圳华南城国际会展中心举办了首届深圳玩具展,展会的规模和影响力虽不大,但其专业性却是得到国内外买家的一致认可,并开创了深圳玩具发展的新局面。
