连香树(Cercidiphyllum japonicum S-ieb et Zucc)为连香树科的落叶大乔木。干形挺拔,树姿雄伟,寿命长,萌生力强。砍伐后,其根株可抽芽数十根,强者仍能长成连根丛生型大树。5月上旬开花,9月种子成熟,粒小具翅,1克种子约1667粒。有性繁殖容易,病虫害少,具有优良的林学特性,属我国珍稀植物。一、群落学特性秦巴山区是连香树生长的故乡之一,但均为零星分布,纯林极罕见。在宁陕林区垂直分布于1400～1800米之间,生长在山谷河旁杂木林中。性喜深厚、肥沃、湿润的土壤,常与枫杨、水曲柳、漆树、冬瓜杨、七叶树等混交,形成上层林冠。下层林冠由野核桃、榇木、刺(?)、三桠乌药等种类组成。二、生长情况及造林试验连香树生长情况的资料比较少见。为此,我们特到宁陕林区连香树集中分布区的大南沟、大洋沟等地进行了调查。根据实测资料,最大的一株,高42米,胸径107.5厘米,立木材积15.25米~3,现实年生长量0.0833米~3,参照解析木按年轮推算,树龄
