The White House and Parliament Hill believe that politicians in Europe are not capable of coping with economic problems, relying too much on deadlines and short-term corrections, and are unable to formulate long-term strategies for a single currency. American criticism is not without foundation, but now the United States should also reflect on itself. America’s economy may not be as bad as Europe’s, but Washington’s inaction in the following three
