Taizhou is the cradle of private economy. The private economy accounts for more than 99% of the total number of enterprises in the city, more than 95% of the total secondary industry, more than 80% of the GDP, and more than 70% of the fiscal revenue. In August last year, the provincial party committee and government formally approved Taizhou as a pilot city for the comprehensive reform of the provincial private economy for innovation and development.
