The rigid and obsolete teaching methods in the history of middle school have become the culprit in killing students’ creative thinking. How can we make the educated have a rich imagination to construct a blueprint for the future world? This is the key for history teachers to guide students out of the ivory tower. I taught at Shanghai Qiyi Middle School and I have made some attempts to cultivate students’ creative spirit. I would like to refer to my colleagues. I think that the most important thing in the middle school is the first grade. Because students form a stick-to-order learning method in primary schools, only in terms of examinations, teachers must be asked to point by question in advance, and they must be familiar with each other when they return home. Therefore, the dependence is very strong. When students enter the middle school on the first day, teachers try to change their way of thinking.
