不久前在上海召开的“韬奋研究首届学术讨论会”上,我在宣读论文时讲到近些年我国新闻出版界的某些情况,曾慨叹于许多方面不如韬奋那时候,上海一位很有声望的新闻界前辈激动地插话说:“岂止不如,简直是离韬奋越来越远了!”当时我着实吃了一惊,但事后想想,觉得此话大有深意在,是很值得我们深思的。恰巧,最近偶然翻阅一本文学刊物,读到该刊编辑部的一则“敬告读者”,全文130多字,主要部分是这样写的:
