纸张——加快了人类文明的进程

人类社会离不开信息,信息只有传递出去才有价值,而且信息在传递的过程中可以增值。人类社会的初期,信息的传递依靠口头传播,因此传递的范围有限,距离有限,保留的时间有限,信息的准确度在传递的过程中也难以保证。人类最初把想要记住的事或想让其他人知道的事用符号、图画、文字等形式记载下来,中国的八卦中的阴爻和阳爻就是通过最原始符号将信息的内容记载下来。
