社区教育是指将教育置于一定区域范围内的政治、经济、文化背景中,从社区整体发展的角度,着眼于教育与社会经济的相互联系与作用,即以教育过程推进社区的进步,同时实现教育自身的完善与发展。如何从中国特色的社会主义农村实际出发,因地制宜的开展社区教育,推进农村乡镇社区的进步,在理论和实践上都需要加以研究和探索。
