西方新闻理论是十分强调新闻报道的公正性和真实性原则的，认为记者的立场是不偏不倚的，新闻报道只是“忠于事实”。只要报道的事实是真实的，就可以不受任何限制，从这个意义上把新闻记者称之为“无冕之王”。记者所作报道，被说成“全都是事实”；报道办法是“用事实说话”
Western news theory places great emphasis on the principle of impartiality and authenticity of news reports, believing that journalists’ positions are impartial and that news reports are only “true to facts.” As long as the facts covered in the report are true, they can be freely used by any journalist in this sense as the “king of no crown.” Reporters made reports that they were said to be “all facts.” The reporting method was “to use facts to speak”
