2003年始,本刊盆景传艺栏目为盆景初学者及爱好者推出“盆景传艺”专栏。专栏以彩版形式出现从制作盆景的基础技法及养护盆景的基本方法入手,配操作过程图、简练的说明文字及作品完成图,使热爱盆景艺术的读者非但一目了然,且能效仿,从中得益。本栏特邀曾赴美国、印度尼西亚等地传授盆景技艺的上海植物园盆景技师张寿华主持及示范。
