古诗教学对学生的教育和影响有着不同于其它文体教学的特殊作用,优秀的古诗不但情理兼备,易于诵记,而且能启迪心智,陶冶情操,不仅可使学生了解我国优秀的传统文化,而且能通过对古诗词的诵读、体验、欣赏,获得审美感受,增强民族自尊心和爱国主义情感。古诗中的字音字意与现代文差异甚远,古诗的年代和历史背景又需要掌握一定的历史知识,这些都为古诗教学设置了障碍。
