中国化学物质名词,及化学术语的(?)订,是中国化学普及和发展的基本工作,应力求其完善,并早日完成。中国化学会总会理事会,于一九五二年四五月间开会时,于听取和阅读名词方面的报告以后,出席理事,和列席同志,曾经交换意见好几次,但只是漫谈的方式。我们对于近来,有些会内外同志,把若干年来,不同意造字的见解和将化学物质名词,全部音译,或采用拉丁名称的建议,罗列起来,讨论了一下,并指出化学名词
The definitions of Chinese chemical substances and chemical terms are the basic work for the popularization and development of chemistry in China. We should strive to perfect them and complete them as soon as possible. At a meeting of the Chinese Chemical Society General Council in April-May 1952, after listening to and reading the report on nouns, the board of directors and comrades attended the meeting. They exchanged views on several occasions, but merely to talk about the matter.
