Health is the premise of human survival and development. Good quality of health is the basic sign of eliminating poverty, achieving a well-off society, and making the country rich. It is an unshirkable responsibility of all levels of government to do a good job in rural health and protect and promote the health of farmers. Peasants’ visits to the hospital are just as important as eating, dressing, and attending school. It must be included in the government’s important agenda. The three pillars of rural health work in China are cooperative medical care, rural medical care and health care networks and rural doctors.
