The hypersensitivity reaction of tuberculin (tuberculin), whether caused by tuberculosis or BCG inoculation, can be suppressed by a variety of viral infections, such as measles. However, due to methodological limitations, the extent and duration of this suppression have not been fully understood. This article has excluded the methodological implications and reported the suppression of a nodular hypersensitivity response to BCG vaccination in a group of school-age children due to natural rubella infections. Methods: In the spring of 1982, a rubella pandemic took place in the eastern part of Japan at a time when pre-admission cotinine tests were being conducted in suburban Tokyo. The peak of the epidemic lasted from March until the end of April. A total of 4283 6-year-old children, during which the final test has been made. They made it before they were 4 years old
