2010年3月25日,东芝公司向日本货物铁道公司(JR货物)交付了1台柴油-电池混合动力调车机车样机。HD300型机车采用锂离子电池,可通过发动机充电并在制动时存储再生能量。该设计是2008年在交通部的支持下合作开发的。
On March 25, 2010, Toshiba delivered a prototype diesel-battery hybrid shunting truck to Japan Cargo Rail Corporation (JR Cargo). The HD300 locomotive uses a lithium-ion battery that can be charged by the engine and stored regenerative energy during braking. The design was developed in 2008 with the support of the Ministry of Communications.
