The first session of the National Symposium on Mathematical Geology of Young Men was held at the Potash Geological Brigade of the Ministry of Chemical Industry in Tai’an City, Shandong Province from October 12 to October 17, 1987. Attendance at the meeting included the Ministry of Petroleum, the Mines Department, the Ministry of Chemical Industry, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Metallurgy, Ministry of Coal Industry, Nonferrous Metals Corporation, State Seismological Bureau, Chinese Academy of Sciences and institutions of higher learning young mathematical geology workers 123 people, they come from 26 provinces and autonomous regions of 98 units.
