当我得知《戏剧报》要举办“一九八三年首都戏剧舞台中青年优秀演员奖”的评选活动时,感到无比高兴,这是我盼望已久的事。这几年电影、小说、诗歌等各文艺品种纷纷举行评奖,戏剧界却比较沉寂,心里着急。我国各剧种都有优秀演员,为什么不给他们评奖?现在《戏剧报》举行的这项评奖活动,完全符合广大观众的心愿。我衷心支持这项活动。这次评奖活动虽局限于首都戏剧舞台,但它会产生深远的影响,对促进表演艺术水平的提高必将起作用。这次评奖的对象是中青年演员。说明中国剧协和《戏剧报》具有战略的眼光,因为中青年演员是我国戏剧的未来。评奖活动将促使他们迅速成长。
I was very pleased when I learned that The Drama Newspaper is going to hold the “Young and Middle Aged Actor Award in the Capital Theater Stage of 1983”. This is something I have long desired. In recent years films, fiction, poetry and other literary and artistic varieties have held awards, the drama industry is rather quiet, anxious. All the operas in our country have excellent actors, why do not they give awards? Now “The Drama” held in this award, in full compliance with the wishes of the general audience. I sincerely support this activity. Although this awarding activity is limited to the stage of the capital theater, it will have far-reaching impact and will certainly play a role in promoting the improvement of performing arts. The object of this award is young and middle-aged performers. It shows that the Chinese dramatists and Theatricals have a strategic vision, because young and middle-aged actors are the future of Chinese drama. Awards will prompt them to grow rapidly.
