湖南和平解放前夕,由程潜派我到香港直至1956年回国。在香港逗留期间的1950—1952年中间,我同卫立煌和香港复兴银行经理袁德泉合作,组织经营新生实业有限公司。由卫立煌任董事长,我任董事兼香港公司经理。与当时逃亡到香港的国民党官员,有所往来,接触颇多。因为新生公司当时已分别在东京、新加坡、文莱、澳门等地申请设立了分公司,另准备在曼谷、西贡分设办事处,声势颇盛。以致许多逃亡的官员们闻风而来,希望搭上关系,为他们另找一条他迁的安全之路。所以在交往中,得知他们当时的一些生活轶闻,故写成此文,以飨读者。
On the eve of the peaceful liberation of Hunan, Cheng Qian sent me to Hong Kong until returning to China in 1956. During my stay in Hong Kong between 1950 and 1952, I partnered with Wei Lihuang and Hong Kong Rebirth Bank Manager Yuan Dequan to organize Sun Life Industries Limited. From Wei Li Huang as chairman, I am a director and Hong Kong company manager. There were many contacts with KMT officials who fled to Hong Kong at the time. Because the nascent companies had already set up branches in Tokyo, Singapore, Brunei, Macao and other places at that time, and the other prepared to set up offices in Bangkok and Saigon, the momentum quite prosperous. As a result, many officials who fled their posts came to the wind and hoped to get on with their relationship and find another way for him to move safely. Therefore, during the communication, I learned some of the anecdotes about their life at that time, so I wrote this article to readers.
