5月13日母亲节,以“孕育幸福构筑和谐”为主题的“2012中国妇幼经济峰会”在京举办。本届峰会由经济日报社与中国妇幼保健协会联合发起并主办,中国经济网与中国消费者报联合承办。死亡率下降,是发展的重要指标全国政协常委、教科文卫体委员会副主任、中国妇幼保健协会会长张文康在致辞中指出,妇女儿童的生存、健康与发展,关系到千千万万家庭的幸福,关系到社会经济的协调发展,关系到一个国家或民族的兴衰,是社会文明进步的重要体现。国际上把孕产妇死亡率、5岁以下儿童死亡率和平均期望寿命,一起作为衡量社会发展和经济发展的综合性指标。
