In front of me stood an album of Roberto Matta. It lay quietly on the table, but I clearly felt that it was naughtyly singing and dancing, as Mata himself, a stubborn and weird old man, this year is 90 years old today’s abstract art fruit only Painter. The French love him “old urchin ”. It is not easy to get Mata’s permission to visit, but we are very fortunate. One night in early spring last year, Mata students, Mrs. France’s interior minister, Nisha, a sculptor who had participated in the 2nd Shanghai Art Fair, entertained us at the residence of the Minister of Interior in Paris. The Mata couple also came in good spirits. He turned out to be an oriental art fan. That evening, we almost heard him chatting about his passionate oriental art piece, occasionally mixed with French playfulness and ridicule. When she broke up, Madame Mata seemed to blame him for being the reverse. Mata was about to get into the car and turned to stare his wife: “Then I officially make a master tomorrow, everyone is coming. ”
