高考试卷是一把测量工具，测试考生是否达到《考试大纲》所规定的水平，是否达到《课程标准》的要求，同时为高等院校选拔人才提供依据。对高考试卷进行纵向和横向比较研究有助于我们掌握高考命题特点，有助于了解考点分布、试题题型和命题趋势，有助于考生做好高三复习工作和教师规划好高一、二基础年级的教学工作，有助于师生了解考试重点、做好复习迎考。
