湖北省钟祥市九里回族乡是全省11个少数民族乡镇之一。历史上该乡经济落后,民族矛盾复杂。改革开放以后,该乡实现了经济腾飞和民族关系的健康发展。目前,九里回族乡成为全省回汉团结致富、民族工作的先进典型之一。九里乡在加强民族团结、促进民族关系协调发展方面有哪些措施呢?他们的做法对其他少数民族集中居住地区的民族工作有何借鉴之处?带着这些问题,笔者于1997年元月24日至28日在九里乡进行了实地调查。1 湖北省钟祥市九里回族乡位于钟祥市郢中镇东5公里处,1987年10月建立民族乡,该乡是回族人口较多的一个聚居地。1996年底,全乡辖9村61个村民小组,版土面积99平方公里,耕地面积26365亩,其中水地22430亩。全乡2945户,总人口12145人,其中:回民2680人,占总人口的21.1%,汉民9465人,占总人口的78.9%。

With these questions, on January 24, 1997, On the 28th in Jiuli Township conducted a field survey. 1 Jiuli Hui Nationality Township, Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province It is located 5 kilometers east of Langzhong Town, Zhongxiang City. In October 1987, a nationality township was established. This township is a habitat with a large population of the Hui people. By the end of 1996, the township jurisdiction 9 village 61 villagers group, soil area of 99 square kilometers, 26365 acres of arable land, of which 22430 acres of water. The township, 2945, with a total population of 12145 people, of which: Muslim 2680, accounting for 21.1% of the total population, 9465 Han people, accounting for 78.9% of the total population.
