约瑟夫·侯希尔先生是美国传统舞蹈文化保护中心的执行总监和艺术总监。该中心总部位于美国芝加哥,是一个非盈利性的民间组织。这个组织成立于1999年,在过去的十余年里,主要在喜马拉雅地区与当地的古代舞蹈以及濒临绝迹的舞蹈形式的从业者一起合作,工作对象是亚洲的古代舞蹈和一些相对而言较小的舞蹈文化体系,在拉达克①、巴基斯坦、尼泊尔、不丹、日本和斯里兰卡等地开展保护性工作。该中心与博物馆有着密切的合作,推出了一系列高水平的亚洲艺术展览。本文根据其在北京舞蹈学院所进行的演讲与专访整理而成,从亚洲传统舞蹈保护及舞蹈与博物馆结合等方面,为大家提供新的视角。
Joseph Huschel is the Executive Director and Artistic Director of the American Heritage Center for the Protection of Churches. Headquartered in Chicago, USA, the center is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. This organization, founded in 1999, has worked with practitioners in the Himalayas for more than a decade in the Himalayas, both on the local ancient dances as well as on the verge of extinct forms of dance, focusing on ancient dance in Asia and relatively small Dance culture system in Ladakh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Japan and Sri Lanka. The center has close cooperation with museums and has launched a series of high-profile Asian art exhibitions. Based on the speeches and interviews conducted at the Beijing Dance Academy, this article provides a new perspective from the aspects of traditional dance protection in Asia and the combination of dance and museums.
