The United States is a newspaper press power in the world. However, despite the harsh challenges arising from new technologies and new media, the United States has been unable to get rid of the declining circulation and advertising revenue. The troubled U.S. newspaper, on the one hand, actively sought to integrate with the new media in an attempt to find a way out of its difficulties; on the other hand, it was forced to implement a series of cost control measures to tighten its budget of the editorial department to improve its financial position. Although these measures have alleviated the current financial pressure to a certain extent, they have a negative impact on the long-term development of the newspaper industry.
