美丽的塞上江南,神奇的宁夏大地,凭借独特的地形地貌和丰富的旅游资源,银川市人民政府联合国家体育总局汽车摩托车运动管理中心、宁夏回族自治区旅游局和体育局,坚持以“开展机车时尚旅游,发展机车竞技运动,拓展弘扬机车文化理念,演绎国际车坛盛事”为节庆主题,从2000年开始至2007年,连续成功举办了7届中国银川国际汽车摩托车旅游节,并被业界誉为“亚洲最大规模的机车文化盛事”和“中国十大品牌节庆活动”。宁夏遂成为中国机车文化的发源地和传播地,而银川也成为全国车手心之向往的地方。与往届相比,2008年第八届汽摩节的传统项目更加完善,创新项目不断增加,规范化、规模化、国际化程度更高,也更加体现了服务车迷和游客的宗旨。
