Compared with the year of 2012, Qiang research in China in 2013 indicates that China's academic circles'interest in Qiang research has increased .This is reflected in the increased number of research results; the unabated enthusi-asm of old experts;and the increasing academic a-chievements of young and middle -aged scholars. The carriers for reflecting the research results are still mainly the academic journals from the western region .The research during 2013 focused especial-ly on topics regarding the daily life and social de-velopment of the Qiang people , including econom-ics, education, arts, history, culture, and reli-gion.However, within the discipline of Qiang studies in 2013, the quality of some papers was still low.
