For the past 70 years, topical anesthesia has been commonly used in the removal of corneal foreign bodies and intraocular pressure measurements, and is rarely used for strabismus surgery. This article aims to introduce surface anesthesia for strabismus surgery, case selection criteria, risks and benefits. SELECTIONS AND METHODS: The authors selected patients who were able to tolerate passive traction of the eye muscle after topical anesthesia. Preoperative instructions to the surgery may appear dull or sharp pain. Drop a drop of 4% cocaine into the operating room, some patients need oral medication to reduce postoperative vomiting. Disinfection shop towels, intravenous stability of 2.5-5.0mg. After opening the eyelid drip tetracaine 1 drop, cut the corresponding conjunctival sac, hook out of the eye
