戏曲舞台装置,是戏曲舞台美术不可缺少的一个重要组成部分。在戏曲舞台演出中,装置担负着舞台的视觉定位和演员流动表演支点的重任。随着时代的发展,人们审美意识的提高,戏曲舞台装置也在不断地变化发展。在戏曲舞台艺术中,舞台美术的工作核心是要恰到好处地体现舞美设计的意图,即创造人物行动的社会环境、生活环境和规定情境。舞台美术各部门都应统一在舞美设计的总体构思中,舞台装置,就是这个总构思的最重要的呈现者。由此可见舞台装置工作在舞台美术中的作用。
