The “2000 International Symposium on the History of Chinese Modern Architecture” was co-sponsored by the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University, the Institute of Production Technology of the University of Tokyo, the Higher Education Architecture Planning and Design Institute of Guangdong Province, the Culture Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government, and the China Modern Architectural History Committee of the Chinese Society of Architects , opened in Guangzhou on July 24, 2000 and closed in Macao on the 28th, lasting five days, spanning Guangzhou and Macau.
