从1975年起,国际上每3年举行一次聚合物混凝土会议(International Congress onPolymers in Concrete简称ICPIC),并正式成立国际聚合物混凝土委员会,管理和协调每届会议的召开。第6届ICPIC于1990年在上海召开,由同济大学主办。自此后,中、日、韩三国学者之间的联系进一步加深,并一致认为有必要召开亚洲地区的区域性会议以促进亚洲地区聚合物混凝土材料的理论研究和工业进步。在国际聚合物混凝土委员会的支持下,由中方发起,并联合日本国日本大学、韩国江原道大学共同主办了首届东亚聚合物混凝土会议。这
Since 1975, the International Congress on Polymers in Concrete (ICPIC) has been held every three years in the world and the International Polymer Concrete Commission has been formally established to manage and coordinate the convening of each conference. The 6th ICPIC was held in Shanghai in 1990 and hosted by Tongji University. Since then, the links between scholars in China, Japan and South Korea have further deepened. They also agreed that it is necessary to hold regional conferences in Asia to promote the theoretical research and industrial progress of polymer concrete materials in Asia.
