从履历来看,张小夏的大部分艺术活动是在欧洲进行的,其主要艺术成就也在欧洲取得。张小夏一九五七年生于南京,一九八五年入比利时皇家造型艺术学院就读研究生,次年便于布鲁塞尔La Venerie艺术中心和FicHeroulle画廊举办个人画展,此后加入比利时国籍并一直活跃在欧美艺坛,参加过为数众多的国际展览,并获得过欧洲当代艺术金奖。张小夏在欧洲主要从事抽象风格的绘画创作。从发表在画册上的作品来看,他的绘画感觉非常细敏,对抒情的绘画手法和形式元素有贴切而深
In terms of curriculum vitae, most of Zhang Xiaoxia’s artistic activities were conducted in Europe and his major artistic achievements were also made in Europe. Born in Nanjing in 1957, Zhang Xiaoxia enrolled in the Royal College of Art in Belgium in 1985 as a graduate student. In the following year, he held solo exhibitions at the La Venerie Art Center in Brussels and the Fic Heroulle Gallery.
