编者:高水平的摄影史研究,是中国摄影发展所依赖的基础工程之一。1980和1990年代,中国摄影家协会曾组织编写了《中国摄影史1840-1937》《中国摄影史1937-1949》和《当代中国摄影艺术史1949-1989》,为系统研究中国摄影史打下了基础,但此后20余年,高水平的摄影史著作依然难寻。在这种背景下,英国人泰瑞·贝内特先生三卷本的《中国摄影史》相继在国内出版(现在出到了第二本),自然会引起关注。去年其三卷本中的第一本《中国摄影史1842-1860》出版后,本刊曾发表署名评论文章《不忍细看——评贝内特的<中国摄影史1842-1860>》(作者南无哀);现在,贝内特三卷本著作的第二卷《中国摄影史:西方摄影师1861-1879》出版,本刊刊发曾璜先生的评论《史料、史论与态度》,继续讨论中国摄影史研究方面的相关问题。曾璜先生原题目为《态度与成就》,全长6000余字,发表时有删节,全文可见《中国摄影》杂志网站(www.cphoto.com.cn)。
Editor: A high level of history in photographic history is one of the foundations on which photographic development in China depends.
